“Little gem of a hotel in a quaint country village. Staff could not be more friendly and helpful and the food was fabulous
Can’t recommend highly enough”
“The hotel room we booked was a superior double although there was nothing great about it we could have staying at a Premier Inn tbh. Bathroom was lovely though and bed was comfy
Breakfast was OK as was evening meal although once again nothing special. Obviously the setting by the river was glorious”
“We had a lovely weekend in the Shepherd's hut. Very cosy. It is in a very rural position but only a short drive from Beccles and Bungay- we loved the foodie shops in Bungay and the on-site farm shop.

But, the staff were all……
“The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The location of the property was very good, within easy walking distance of the centre of Norwich so no need to take the car. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is a self-service buffet - cereals and bread for toast are provided and there is orange juice, butter, milk, jam etc. in a small fridge. Microwaveable porridge was also available, however, there were no kitchen scales so it would have been difficult to measure out the correct……
