“The cabin’s interior was clean and tidy, with eclectic decor and a working pinball machine (so fun!). There is central air that works very well and stands up to that southern Illinois humidity. The shower was perfect for my 6’5 husband and had great water pressure. You’re surrounded by deep woods but only a few minutes outside of Carbondale, a short drive to Giant City, and all of the other great places in the area. “We had an excellent stay at this charming cabin in Carbondale! The space was beautifully maintained and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The cabin was warm and inviting, with extremely nice finishes and furnishings. We especially enjoyed the quiet surroundings with nature (and a hot tub) right outside the door. Highly recommend!”

“The pond did not look like it did in the picture and it was a disgusting color and did not have a beach walk in area. There was also a bug in the refrigerator and on the floor by the refrigerator and then another bug by the garbage can and there was dog food from previous people that wasn’t picked up also thought it was ridiculous at 830 in the morning there was a mowing crew outside that was woken up to on my vacation and I took pictures of it ”

“Actually, it was a nice small room for two people. It was clean. Our problem was the weather. It rained so hard and there was a lot of wind. The electricity went out so we had to leave and go to another establishment. But then the right conditions I think it would be a nice place for a couple or one person just to get away into nature. It was very easy to get my refund due to the weather. The contact person was very efficient and removedall of our concerns.”

I loved my mornings drinking coffee off the coverd back deck w a view of the pond. The pond itself had a small sand beach which was fun for the kids..along with paddle boards.
