Castle Danger RV Parks 2026

"I was incredibly disappointed in our stay at Superior Shores. I have been staying at this same resort for 35+ years. This trip was by far the worst. We paid for a room on the lake. This was not what we received! The employees said that we booked through Expedia and that was the confusion with our room choice. We had a room overlooking the woods. I let the office know and they switched us to another room facing the woods. The hallways were dirty with visible dirt on the carpet. It looked like they hadn’t done any maintenance or updated anything in years. The pool was cold and on the side of the pool, someone had spilled grape juice and it was not cleaned up. Several jets in the hot tub were not working. I wanted to take a bath, but that looked filthy. I didnt feel comfortable sitting in that tub. I put on shower shoes to take a shower. I don’t believe I will ever go back to this resort!! My old favorite spot will have to be changed to a new location. All of those memories will be lost. I only hope they can get their act together. As for this couple, we will not be coming back. "

"What a beautiful location! The cabin was perfectly situated to take in the breathtaking view. Decorated with a great “up north” vibe. Our family of four had an abundance of space. We enjoyed the spa tubs and the sauna (located in the main lodge). The kitchen was well equipped for the cooking we did. The bath towels were luxuriously soft and fluffy. The beds were a little soft for our family, but we lean towards firm mattresses. We loved how this cabin broke up the drive from the Twin Cities to the entire North Shore. We had a great time exploring further north than we ever have. Thank you for a lovely stay!"

"Bed was comfortable and clean. Small amounts of dirt and dust on the floor. Did not see any staff, but very convenient check in/out process. "

"Such a beautiful and cozy stay! It was modernized and had everything we needed. My only critique is that the listing is a bit unique/confusing in that it is advertised as a 3 bed, but the price listed only covers one of the bedrooms. If you’d like the additional 2 bedrooms there are add on costs per night. I haven’t encountered this before so it was a surprise to our group, but everything else was lovely."
