“This was a solid hotel on our way to Isle of Skye. The construction outside wasn't known until after the booking. And while not horrible, they started moving equipment about 45 min before 8am when the work was to start. We knew it would be rustic and it was. No frills but solid hotel. Beds were very hard though.”

“Lovely twin room, very clean and comfortable. The communal kitchen and lounge were well equipped and a great addition. The staff were helpful and answered any questions I had. We would stay here again if we visited in future.”

“We stayed at the hotel for one night. It is a simple hotel in a historic building.”

“Not for everyone. Getting to your room can be inconvenient. When you return, you need to ask someone to open the main door, and if it’s already open, you have to find a staff member (who isn’t always at the reception) to get your room key. You also need to book your breakfast time the day before, choosing an exact time slot. I didn’t feel completely free during my stay. It felt more like staying at a relative’s house with lots of house rules than at a hotel. There is also no fridge in the room,……
