“This was a great spot right near the road but surrounded by rain forest so feels secluded with great scenery. A good halfway point between Mendenhall Glacier and downtown Juneau. The apt layout was great for our family, the kitchen was a good size and having laundry was awesome. The owners were very responsive. One thing to note was the 3rd bed was not a futon but an air mattress. ”

“This was a perfect home away from home. Our family of 4, with 2 teenagers, loved staying here. With Fritz cove just steps away, my husband and son spent many hours fishing, and watching the bald eagles. This was a perfect location, away from all the cruise ships in Juneau, but not far from anything. The house has plenty of space, with some lovely touches provided by the owner… chocolates, nuts, spices and cooking basics… we did not need anything. We really enjoyed using the hot tub, with lovely……

“Shangri-La met our needs for a couple days in Juneau. The whole unit is very big. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is great, and I loved that it had a washer/dryer. The sitting area is just ok but it could use a chair. Also, it was not made clear in the amenities that it does not have a regular stove and oven. It has a double cooktop you need to get out of a drawer and a single burner cooktop. They do not heat up like a regular stove. They do have a pretty big toaster……

“Highly recommend. Clean well maintained. Quick response to our inquiries. It was perfect for us. Full disclosure; It is an older home the beautiful refurbish can’t eliminate some of those characteristics (closet doors that don’t close, bumps in the floor.. all very minor if you’re not a perfectionist) We would stay again without hesitation.”

“Very nice! The attention to detail in this rental was appreciated. Who needs a coffee shop! The coffee/tea bar provided everything needed to start the day with a barista style drink to enjoy while looking over the harbor. Close proximity to some of our favorite places to eat and things to do in Auke Bay without a parking fee. We’ll be staying again! Hosts were gracious and made our stay a breeze. ”

“This is a beautiful magical property right on the Mendenhall River. Plenty of bedrooms for our large family, huge upstairs gathering area/kitchen. Owner was very responsive and had a lot of items to use. Really was ideal for our family and we loved it all!”
