“This cabin is an hidden gem and conveniently located within 5 minutes of Lake Somerville and 15 minutes from Brenham. The extra details they put into this Cabin from granite countertops to a huge electric fireplace make your stay above what you would expect. When you step inside you will be blown away at the beauty of this place. I wanted to package it up and take it home. “We had a wonderful stay at the Little Black Cabin over Thanksgiving weekend. The kitchen had everything we needed, and both the bed and the sleeper sofa were incredibly comfortable. The cabin offered a peaceful and quiet retreat, while still being conveniently close to stores and family. An added bonus was the electric car charger, which wasn't mentioned in the listing but was greatly appreciated!”

“We absolutely loved our stay...just one negative...the beds were very uncomfortable. When sitting on them, it sounded like they were going to break. We could feel the springs in our back and we sank to the middle. Rolling over was very loud. The mattresses need to be replaced quickly. We were there for a Select Softball Tournament for my daughter. She has mild scoliosis but usually has no problems with hotel stays. Her back and sides were hurting after sleeping on these beds. “If you’re looking for a quick and easy getaway for a weekend, this should be your retreat! We arrived late Friday night and were greeted to lights on, easy access to enter the property and a very comfortable bed! Awakening Saturday morning and it was lovely having coffee on the porch watching deer. Saturday evening a group of red tailed hawks put on an amazing aerial display over head! Magical!”

“Overall experience was exceptional. The place was welcoming and everything functioned as it was supposed to. The remotes for the AC units have a little delay so just give it a few minutes to kick on. The gate to the property should be closed on entrance and exit so the cows dont get out. The roof is metal, so the heavy rain we had on Friday made me think it was hailing!There is a little loft above the kitchen which was super cute and would be great for an air mattress if you needed more space……

“Secluded, private, clean and beautiful!”

“My wife and I like to stay out away from Bryan/College Station when attending TAMU football games to avoid the traffic and crowds. The Cottage is in a nice location in the country. Great views f4om the front porch. Super clean and a really comfortable bed. Also, the owners are a pleasure to deal with. We will be back next season.”

“The cabin was beautiful and very clean. The owner even left some muffins. The property is nicely maintained for a hike. Check in is easy and the owner is available if needed. I will stay there again next year. Highly recommend.”
