Beautiful Wooded Dream Cabin Backs Forest

Walking into Timberloft you immediately are taken aback by the great room's soaring tongue and groove ceilings and expanses of vaulted windows overlooking a beautiful back yard and then out into the untouched forest. Tiled throughout, the great room stays cool in the summer, and the radiant in-floor heating along with a floor to ceiling rock fireplace keep it cozy all winter. A stunning rough-cut log beam spans the width of the house, combined with over-sized wood trim and rustic decor to show the mountain character of this amazing cabin. When the french doors swing open to the untouched forest beyond, you are sure to feel like you are in your own private mountain oasis.

The rustic-yet-modern kitchen has beautifully crafted Alder wood cabinetry and sleek black granite counter tops. With stylish stainless steel appliances and all of the accouterments, this chef's kitchen is a joy to cook in. With dining area seating for 8, the group can enjoy a wonderful meal together in this open and comfortable space.

As you meander to the downstairs sleeping quarters, you find the beautiful Master bedroom with king-sized bed, comfortable lounge chair, and private bathroom with dual sinks. Across the hall is the queen guest bedroom, and a separate bath with walk-in shower.

Making your way up to the loft living and sleeping area, you'll find a comfortable open space with plenty of seating, and a smart TV perfect for those movie nights! There are two twin bedrooms along with two pull-out trundles to making a comfortable place for four to sleep. There is a washer and dryer available for guest use in the loft as well.

Just minutes from I-17 and I-40, and surrounded by a variety of dining and shopping options, the Timberloft Cabin is the perfect home base for all of Flagstaff's attractions. The Arizona Snowbowl is a quick forty minute drive, and offers world class skiing at a family friendly resort. Grand Canyon is a short drive North, providing some of the most beautiful scenery in the country.

Really maintained and nice property
This cabin was a really nice stay and was really well kept and organized. The backyard has a nice hangout spot and the indoor spaces were very comfy and warming. The surrounding area has some really nice trails and is fairly close to flagstaff so grocery shopping was also quick and easy. They also had a lot of hygenic necessities provided like hand soap, towels, shampoo and bodywash so not much was spent on anything other than food. Only recommendations I have is if a bread toaster was added and a full size baking sheet for the oven was supplied.

Overall great location, friendly neighbors and wonderful dark sky community....you will see stars like you have never seen before!! The blower in the back yard detracts from the beauty and solitude. I've seen these same pumps in other back yards but they were silent. That is my only complaint and the view outweighs that, but it would be more peaceful without that.

Wonderful cozy home
The house is beautiful. Design and decor is fantastic. Comfortable beds. Neighborhood needs a little work, but as long as you stay in house and look out the backyard at the forest, all is well. There is no air-conditioning, usually not necessary in Flagstaff but we picked a hot week. However the nights were beautiful. There is nothing but a little salt and pepper there, so if you are cooking be sure to bring all the spices you need. Sleeping areas were well done and beds comfy.

We had a wonderful stay at Mountainaire! The home was very clean, well stocked and ready to enjoy. The furniture and beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious, and the yard is fully enclosed for pets. The fireplace made for cozy family time :) we really enjoyed the close proximity to attractions, but almost wanted to stay in the cabin instead!! If only the check-in time was a tiny bit earlier (or check out time a bit later) would be my only wish. Also, perhaps a thicker blanket or comforter on the beds since the heat doesn’t keep up as well overnight.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mountainaire. Had never stayed in this part of town and it was perfect. Quiet, surrounded by natural beauty, friendly neighborhood. We really enjoyed our time here. Everyone had plenty of space to do there own thing and I loved the lot for the children to have their own space. I only had a couple complaints, on arrival everyone went to go pick which bed would be theirs for the weekend, well as my children pulled out the trendel beds one of them was covered in chips and crumbs from previous children that stayed so that was a little disappointing. Then the number one complaint I have is that darn box in the back yard making the loudest noise it was frustrating we couldn't even listen to the wildlife. But other than that we would totally come back for another stay. Thank you owners.

Overall good, but there are some big annoyances - (1) backyard isn't as enjoyable; (2) checkout time
Overall clean and comfy stay. The two issues I had with this is: 1. When choosing a property it was very important to me to find one with a backyard area where I could enjoy the trees and fresh air. On the pictures this property had exactly what I wanted. However, there's some mechanism in the backyard that's constantly running and makes quite a bit of noise taking out all the enjoyment. 2. Check-in time at 4 pm and checkout time at 10 am is ridiculous. Maybe that's how it's done these days everywhere, but I remember the norm a few years ago check-in at 3 pm and checkout at 11 am. If you want 5 stars review, earn it - be better than everyone else. Due to the above two points I was considering giving it an overall of 3 stars, but I guess it would not be quite fair.

Disappointed with the stay
I would hate to say but I am disappointed with my stay . First they charged me around 60$ more after making the booking saying VRBO dont allow them to enter the total amount ( I dont believe that and I agreed as I didnot have time to keep replying to email because of so many things to take care and cant book something else at last minute ) , second the listing says 3 bedroom , there are only 2 , the owner is counting loft as bedroom which technically is not a bedroom .

Relaxing long weekend with our dogs!
We loved this property. From the views of the National Forest beyond the view fence, to the quality of the finishes. This is a property that is so well-designed for enjoyment. We entertained friends from the area on the patio and in the dining area. We cooked and grilled. Comfortable, ample seating in every area. The loft was awesome for some football watching. The fireplace made reading on the sectional very cozy. The best part for me was opening the French doors and letting my dogs enjoy the shady, grassy, well-fenced yard (medium size dog door too). Easy access to walking trails. Just a great experience overall. Our friends agreed this is one of the nicest VRBOs any of us have enjoyed!
