Get ready to stay in a National treasure!
This is the 2nd oldest train depot in the US. What incredible history just imagining what has taken place her over all these years. Although it has been fully renovated, we have preserved so much of its original charm. Check out the hand cut wood beams and brick chimney in the kitchen. The open concept kitchen and living room lets the whole family or group of friends spread out after a long day exploring the area. Watch your favorite shows or movies on the 55" TV in the living room. Downstairs has an oversized bedroom with a king size bed (top of the line Nectar mattress) and a walk-in closet with a desk. The life like electric fireplace will be a great treat in the colder months, but can be used without the heat mode for some nice ambiance. Sonos speaker located on the bookshelf to play your favorite music.
Walk upstairs and find a bedroom with a queen size bed (top of the line Nectar mattress) and a full bathroom with a tub.
The bathroom mirror has a built in vanity lighting. The lounge area upstairs has two sleeper sofas with memory foam mattresses and cable tv. There is also a queen size air mattress in the closet in upstairs bedroom. The loading dock is covered and has plenty of room to hang out with friends and family. Super quick walk to everything like the canal and downtown. Plenty of award winning restaurants, shops and bars.

Great place in Frederick

In town for my Sister’s wedding. Stayed here for the weekend. Danny, the host, was easy to communicate with. Place was charming and very comfortable. Beds were comfy as advertised. Downtown Frederick is easily walkable, and hwy 70 was easy to get to to branch out further. Will stay here again if available the next time we are in town.

Lovely architecture and beautiful interior design

The "train depot" is very comfortable, clean, and well designed. It is spacious, allowing us to celebrate our son's birthday with immediate family. The owner has done a great job managing the property and communicates well. We hope to stay there again on our next visit to Frederick.

Fun place in a great location

We enjoyed our weekend in Frederick and LOVED the property we stayed in! Everything was as shown in the listing and it was even better in person. The owner thought of everything to make the stay great and was quick to respond when I asked a question.

Holiday Stay

My parents, my girl friend, and I stayed at The Depot to celebrate the holidays with some family that are local to Frederick. The proximity to shops and restaurants was very convenient for when we had downtime between visits with the family. The home was also very nicely decorated and embraced the theme of an old train depot. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Perfect downtown Frederick property !

We loved the Train Depot and the property manager, Danny. The location is perfect for walking to Carroll Creek walking path and downtown Frederick shops and restaurants. We stayed in Frederick to attend a free jazz concert in nearby Baker Park Bandshell on Sunday night and that was wonderful. We also got a great surprise by being across the street from The Sky Stage where an excellent jazz musician was playing on Saturday evening! Since this is an open air venue, we could listen from the Train Depot’s porch. Another huge plus for us was having a free handicap parking space available behind the property and that the master bedroom was on the first floor level. The home was clean and well supplied. You will not be disappointed if you stay at the Train Depot !

perfect location

what a beautiful standalone building within walking distance to everything you would want to get to in downtown Frederick. This VRBO is so well designed and was so cozy and comfortable. The host had great communication and even offered up a list of local restaurants that him and his wife enjoy. We cannot wait to come back to this location.

Cool train depot accommodations!

We really enjoyed our stay in Frederick at the renovated train depot. The place was well appointed, decorated in a fun, but trendy train theme. Checkin and out was super easy and being located right by the canal park made walking around in the historic area super easy. Our host made some great eating recommendations. We had lunch at The Wine Kitchen and our meals were delicious! Highly recommend checking out that spot if you come for a visit.

Cute location

Great place for one or two couples. The common areas weren’t really suitable for sleeping—the sofa that turns into a bed wasn’t comfortable as a sofa or a bed. The place was very clean. The first floor shower was really small (I think the door may have been put on backwards because it was difficult to get in and out). Convenient location. Lock on front door appeared damaged and you can hear the conversation from every passerby. The blinds didn’t offer much in the way of privacy. The place was cute

July 4th at the train depot

My family had a nice time at the train depot, the house is well spaced out and modern. It also has good location to the restaurants and breweries in downtown Frederick. The house is located right along the creek so it is quick to get to any places nearby. There are some homeless that are close by but they did not cause any issue besides one person that placed their belongings on the backside of the house where it says no trespassing. They left once they saw me come outside but there wasn’t any problems just something to be mindful since there is a parking garage right next to the house. The house is also very clean but there was some hair that we found at the head of bed and some small flies which was not a big deal but otherwise it was spotless. I am glad that I had the opportunity to stay at such a unique historic place and got to enjoy downtown Frederick with everything in walking distance!
