“Staff Very Good”

“Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Even though it is on a main road, the double glazing kept out all noise making it very quiet at night. Breakfast menu is excellent, dinner menu likewise and the bar has an excellent choice of local ales and cider. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this inn ”

Having reintroduced the full english breakfast in a traditional sense the property has regained our commitment to booking a bed with breakfast rate. The staff are always very friendly and the hotel is perfectly located not only to see what Lostwithiel has to hold but for accessing other towns and villages in Cornwall. ”

“The staff was lovely and very attentive, a really nice man at the front desk. The bathroom was amazing and beautiful, a great shower with a rain shower above and a second shower head below it with amazing pressure. I had a lovely comfortable chair and desk for doing work. The bed was really comfortable, soft pillows and crisp cool sheets. Plenty of storage drawers and wardrobe; a kettle, TV, hairdryer, heater and fan were provided which came in handy. “The room itself had been recently decorated in a modern decor, unfortunately our bathroom had clearly been smoked in recently, not the hotels fault given all the signs, but the smell was very overpowering and unpleasant. Despite going in winter, we couldn't get the room cool enough -we opened the window and turned off the radiator but couldn't sleep as it was too hot. In addition, there was a party downstairs we were not warned about, the music carried on very late which prevented us sleeping -……

“Lovely hotel. Staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and the bathroom was very luxurious. The evening meal was okay but my husband’s dish tasted quite bland, considering the prices - we expected slightly better quality. We really enjoyed the history and novelty of the hotel. The free mini bar was a nice touch. ”
