“Note: No elevator. You’ll be carrying your baggage up to 2nd floor. Breakfast was lacking any low carb/low sugar options. Basically waffles toast and yogurt. The clerk apologized that the drink and snack machines were poorly stocked -an ongoing issue. The spreads on the beds had dirty spots on them. And strange stains on the bathtub porcelain. Overall not a poor location, but it just appeared tired and dated. ”

“2-years in a row that the pool was closed. Shower head leaked & had weak water pressure. The Conditioner was empty upon arrival & need to have some sort of ‘night light’ available instead of only bright lights or TV. Not being picky, I liked my stay… I’m just trying to give good honest feedback ~ easy improvements. Thank You. ”

“We had a good stay at the HGI in Gastonia. Generally clean, with some signs of wear in the room, but otherwise fine. The staff was above and beyond nice and helpful at the front desk (Crystal was a standout- VERY nice!). The bartender was also nice and helpful when kids in our group wanted to order food. The lounge areas outside and in the lobby were good for adult hangouts. The ONLY things we didn't love were that the pool area was SO loud that we ended up leaving when a group of about 7……

“I had the king suite.. its was awful and it smelled horrible. I was moved the next day only because when I returned the room had not been cleaned…the worst stay ever..I will never stay here again”
