“Sadly, I cannot recommend. We checked in and discovered a good amount of bright pink hairs on the shower wall and the toilet was questionably clean. I showed the front desk guy with a mustache who showed zero care about the situation and offered us a room change. I declined and he still charged me $1 for laundry soap. Its clear guest recovery skills were not taught and it feels like Im just a dollar sign. ”

“This modest cabin by the lake made a perfect weekend getaway for me. So quiet and peaceful. ”

“Great location on the lake. My husband and I kayacked, fished, brought our pup along. We enjoyed sitting on the porch overlooking the lake. The owners were more than welcoming, anticipated our needs before we thought of them. ”

“Though the room was adequate and quite clean, it’s obvious that this place is in a state of being renewed. The area outside the room is rough, planting areas not cared for, broken cement. Not at all like newer or upgraded establishments. The walls are quite thin in the bathroom and conversation/tv could clearly be heard. Outside noises (between two busy roads) were loud. I was awakened by a motorcycle racing up the road at full throttle at approx. 2 am. I would not stay here again.”

“Good location and value. Great lobby coffee. The room itself had lots of things broken and a big gap between the door and door jamb and no deadbolt as if someone may have had the door kicked in once.”

“The owners/staff at the Carolina Motel were friendly and helpful. There weren't a lot of upgrades but they weren't needed because everything was clean, comfortable, and in good condition. Since it isn't a huge hotel, it was nice being able to keep my curtains and door open while I was in the room, simply enjoying the outdoor space as well. Coffee was available in the mornings but I rated the amenities as average because there wasn't water in the swimming pool. ”
