“The lodge may not look luxurious but the staff make sure you feel like it is. Insuring all your needs are met. The staff were amazing, first class! All meals were a beautiful presentation and they got to know you and then catered to your tastes. He mad my husband a fresh picante sauce. We loved the location. “Stunning views from restaurant and room across as far as lake Arenal. All the food offerings were fantastic from breakfast to evening meals using home grown and home made items. Regular supply of wildlife to keep you entertained. Only slight negative was a reasonably long walk up a steep hill to get to the nearest shops etc but that’s no fault of the hotel. Also be aware there is no A/C in the rooms if you are as lucky as we were with the weather.”

“I was pleasantly surprised, the photos online were pretty but once we got there the views were breathtaking. We took so many pictures of the volcano and the lake but still could not capture the beauty this location offers. The rooms and property were clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. My favorite part was coming back to our room to find a new animal crafted with towels everyday, we were there for 8 days, I thought they'd run out of ways to fold the towels but they didn't.
