“My partner and me stayed during the first horrible heatwave in June, to get some respite in the AC that was featured in the amenities of the property. Not only was there AC in the room, but also in the pub/restaurant area! It was absolutely delightful - we struggled leaving! The staff were so friendly and attentive; nothing was too much trouble. We were given a flask of fresh milk to have with tea/coffee in the room, and some freshly baked cookies. I couldn’t get the shower to cool down, this……

“We have just spent 3 nights here and can't speak highly. Our stay was very comfortable. Our room was very well equipped, clean. We had biscuits, teas coffe hot chocolate, water and milk and juice on our arrival. Everything you could need in the room. But if you did need anything the staff would be happy to help. The room and pub was so clean . The breakfast were your good and lots of it. Evening meals we ate there 2 nights and all meals very good. Although the fish option wasn't available……

There was little choice available on roast meals and we were offered 'homemade' pie which was burnt and hard with not much filling. “The staff were lovely and polite, attentive, but clearly it is run on shoestring, or maybe it is difficult to find staff? The hotel looks lovely and sits in keeping with the character of the area. the chef was away on holiday, i understand chef problems, hence the restaurant was closed. We did know this in advance and we booked a local pub to eat in, the staff again were helpful with this. We did return to the hotel just after 930pm, to find the bar shut and no staff on the premises. We had……
