Called ahead as we knew we were going to be a late arrival. Got there close to 11 and the woman at the desk states, it’s going to be a few mins, your room isn’t ready…. She claimed it still needed to be cleaned! Check in was after 4pm, I called in about 830pm to confirm we were getting in late. I asked what would have happened had we shown up at 4 her response was ‘sorry maam, in the only one here and I haven’t cleaned the room yet!’ Horrible!!! I am glad I wasn’t alone because I don’t think I would’ve gotten out of the car. It was not the greatest area and although they’ve slapped a little paint on the walls and new floors in the rooms the place was sketchy and looked straight out of a horror movie. Pot smelly, musty hallways with stained carpets! People coming in and out all night, doors slamming, people yelling…. Never again. Horrible night of sleep. Let’s start with the room. Tub was leaking and had some dirty areas. Floor was dirty. We notice there was hair and crumb bits left on the bed. Tv wasn’t working. Something was wrong with the Roku they had in there. Vending machine for drinks was messed up. We got up for breakfast in the morning cuz it was advertised when we booked the room. We wake up and asked about the breakfast and there was none. Something about having no license to serve. Why wasn’t this noted on Expedia or told to us when I checked in. Absolutely ridiculous. The staff that worked there was very nice. Very polite. But it was just a terrible way to spend one night and not having breakfast in the morning was terrible. Am I entitled to any compensation? Partial Refund?
