“Lovely place to stay. We stayed here as we were visiting Cheddar Gouge. Friendly staff and nice pub downstairs. Big family room and massive bathroom. Everywhere was clean and and well decorated. Nice breakfast included. Highly recommend.”
“Sam, the general manager greeted us warmly on arrival, was very helpful, friendly and professional.
Our courtyard room was clean and comfortable with a garden table just outside the door.
Plenty of tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Dinner and breakfast were both plentiful and delicious.
Highly recommended for a stay in the Mendips with dogs.”
“Perfect central location to visit Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, the seaside and Bath. The accommodation was extremely well maintained and presented.
A quiet location situated within a riding school, so perfect for those with an interest in horses but not affected by it being a working stable. The kitchen was particularly well equipped with good quality pots, pans and crockery and the host even provided washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee, milk and even cake!

“can not fault the stay .. super clean .. super friendly .. great breakfast pub across the road is spot on .. the only problem was I didn't book a longer stay
thanks for the stay highly recommend”

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, we had one evening meal there, breakfast was perfect, they were very accommodating by tweaking the menu to what you prefer.
Very close to the caves and gorge, easy to access other attractions.”
“The staff were friendly, fun and efficient. A disabled parking space was close by for my husband and the ground floor bedroom exceptionally well accommodated and comfortable along with a wet room!
The bar was fun, friendly and busy with excellent menu, great service and atmosphere.
A local group of friends informally got together with instruments and voices. Much enjoyed.
Highly recommended”
“When booking I didn't realise the hotel was right next to the ticket office to Wookey Hole Caves, what a bonus. Checking in was easy and the staff were very informative. After a busy day we decided to have dinner in the hotel restaurant. You do have to reserve in advance but the staff went the extra mile and fitted us in, we were very thankful due to having an exhausted and hungry child. We couldn't fault the meal, we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
The family room was a good size, including two……
