“Average stay, tv not receiving signal, boiler broke down, although owner came out to fix within a few hours. Very poor welcome pack (small bottle of milk). No logs or kindling for log burner. View from back of cottage spoilt by messy and junk strewn garden. Nice location with good pubs in village that did good food, just check what days they open.”

“This is not a 4star hotel as described, it’s just a tired old pub that has some accommodation. The ‘deluxe’room that we had booked had stained carpets,sofa and cushions and was very basic. The two small bath towels and one hand towel provided were frayed. The menu is very basic in the pub. I had a pizza that was inedible as it tasted mouldy and looked horrible. We checked out after one night having booked and paid for 3 nights. The building has an unkempt vibe. The car park is very small and……
“On our arrival we were met by the delightful owner who made us feel very welcome. She was also a source of information which proved extremely beneficial.
Our room was part of the converted stable block which was fine apart from the small windows which made the room dark and claustrophobic. Had we stayed longer then I would of asked to be moved. The bathroom was impressive which consisted of both shower and slipper bath.
Food good served by young staff who
looked after all our needs really……
