Chautauqua Lake area 2 bedroom cottage

Chautauqua Lake area two bedroom cottage. Interior features includes two bedrooms, one bathroom with separate tub and shower, washer & dryer, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, living room with cathedral ceiling , enclosed screened in porch with TV and a daybed.... perfect place for relaxing, napping or reading a book. Exterior features a deck with a cooking area including a gas-grill and fire pit. There is plenty of out door furniture for your convenience. Cottage is located within walking distance to the Loomis Bay park where you will tennis court, playground, and a ball park. Perfect to keep the children entertained. A boat dock can be rented at Smith Boys Marina (716-763-0140) which is only quarter-mile from the cottage. It's located in the westernmost part of New York State, is a resort area centered around famed Chautauqua Institution. Its western border is Lake Erie. Many wineries are a short drive away.
The cottage is located approximately 70 miles southwest of Buffalo, 50 miles northeast of Erie, PA and is served by the major airports in those cities. Interstate routes I-86 and I-90 connect with major eastern, Canadian and western cities and markets. Our climate is varied, parts being tempered by Lake Erie and parts at higher altitudes providing cool summers and snow cover for three major ski resort areas. Our average summer temperature is 77 degrees and our winters average 32 degrees.
It is home to the world famed Chautauqua Institution and four other major resort and vacation regions, providing a wide variety of spring, summer, fall and winter activities. The National Comedy Center is located just a short drive away. One can find boating, fishing, hiking, downhill skiing, X-country skiing, cycling, snowmobiling, Amish handicrafts, hunting, antiquing, concerts, and art shows to name a few!

Some say Chautauqua (shah tau' qua) is a Seneca Indian name meaning 'Bag Tied in the Middle'. A look at the map shows the name fits the lake. It is 17.3 miles long and boasts some of the best fishing opportunities in the country whether you're a novice or an avid angler. Bass, muskie, walleye, perch, and crappie are just some you will pull in.

Perfect Get Away
I thoroughly enjoyed this immaculate, nicely appointed cottage during my 5 day stay. The location is convenient to everything you should visit while close to Chautauqua Lake. While not on the water, a few minute drive in either direction offers beautiful vistas along the lake. Owner easily accessible for any questions I had During my stay… Already planning next years return visit!

wonderful stay!
Lovely property, exactly as represented in listing. Screened porch and back deck/yard are terrific bonuses. Quiet neighborhood, we enjoyed morning walks/runs on adjacent streets. Great location - short drives to Bemus Point (Lake Life Cafe & Ellicottville Brewing Co) & Jamestown (Landmark Restaurant) for food, to Chautauqua for events & Mayville for Chautauqua Belle lake cruise. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Charming and Cozy Getaway
Our recent stay was amazing! The neighborhood was quiet and the house was the perfect size. Filled with tons of personality, closet space and amenities this place was just right. Linda was very friendly and accommodating, we would definitely recommend her as a host. Our only disappointment was the outdoor space…….we had looked forward to morning coffee on the front porch and nights by the fire outback, however, both spaces were unexpectedly inhabited with cobwebs and spiders. Otherwise, we highly recommend a stay here and plan to return in the future.
