"We loved every minute of our stay at El Colonial. Because we booked through Expedia (we think?), we had access to the unlimited open bar in reception, but the main perk of that was the bartenders! Friendly, knowledgeable, interesting -- talking to the bartenders and hearing about PR was literally the highlight of our trip. Also, wonderfully, the way the light hit our particular room meant that, in the mornings, there was a camera obscura projection of the street outside onto our roof! 100/10 (because of the staff!)"

As the old city can be heavily trafficked with tourists by day and night, the Armas hotel provides a quiet escape when one needs some time to regroup. It is clean, well climate controlled, and comfortable."
