“The place is very dated, could do with a little TLC. There is no lift to the upper rooms, had it stated this on the website, I would not have booked. “Stayed for two nights as a stop over whilst going homeward. Wanted to have a look around the area. Room was small but adequate. Clean with en-suite shower. Ate in the dining area of the pub both nights and enjoyed the food. Informal but friendly service by all, and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Recommend a walk to the canal and then the walk to Gloucester on the tow path. It’s well paved and flat and about three miles.”

“Check in was super quick, inside the pub. The rooms were like Four little cottages, and it felt like you had your own little house, as you had a front door key. Each room had a table and chairs outside, so ideal if you smoke. The full English breakfast cooked to order, was excellent. Fresh, good quality ingredients, cooked perfectly. Parked in the pub car park, and had no problem getting a space.”
