Just moments from Colonial Beach and a short drive to other nearby towns, this place was perfect for us. We’ll certainly be coming back the very next chance we get!"

"This is our second stay, now in the Fall for Oct. 6-11. It was absolutely beautiful again-we hiked at the state park on a stunning trail along, the lake and rented kayaks from Lake Anna Outfitters that were delivered directly to the house on the front lawn. The water was still warm enough to swim in when the sun was out. The house again was lovely-excellent for cooking and entertaining. Incredibly relaxing."

"We loved our stay at this house. It was clean, and was comfortable for our family. The dock was great for fishing. The kayaks were nice to have. One big problem was the arcade game machine did not work like it did last year when we stayed here. I messaged the manager through VRBO but didn't hear back. Our kids were disappointed. Even though we encourage them not to play video games, they really loved it last year and we wanted to come back this year. If it is advertised on VRBO, then steps...

"Very pretty Property. Comfortable, Welcoming, and spacious. The beds and pillows very comfy and nice. Beautiful views. Kitchen has everything needed. We loved the fire place and fire pit. One tip would be to have more information about how the all TV's work - Instructions on starting the gas fire place, fixing the ice machine, and the one burner on the stove would be a plus and having all light fixtures working upon arrival. Great Family Location. We hope to visit this property again."

"Base Camp D was once again the perfect gathering place for our family Thanksgiving celebration. The kids took over the basement (and hot tub) while the adults visited upstairs. Sitting on the porch next to the heater was perfect for reading, meditating, and intimate conversations. Our only glitch was the breaker throwing twice but maintenance came right away. Wonderful place!"

"When you walk in the house, you’ll love the view to the lake. It was a wonderful house for our family vacation. There was plenty of room. Nice patio areas. NICE FIRE PIT for s’mores. A wonderful doc area for hanging out and fishing. The kitchen had everything you need to cook. There’s also a playroom detached from the house that was also fun to use. We’d stay there again!"

"Right off the highway, comfortable, safe and clean! The only minor issue was the door to the courtyard closes with a loud CLUNK, and my unit was right above it. Know you need to contact the office if you're arriving after 7pm; they will text you lockbox info to get your key. Will stay here again!"
