“Very disappointing. I paid £98 for a very basic twin room for 1 night. Only 1 bed was made up and room was clean but very dated, and the property and grounds have seen better days and are overall quite scruffy. No TV in room but was told I could watch TV downstairs if I wanted to. The shower didn't work properly - either scalding hot or dribbled out cold water. Sink took ages to drain, noisy radiator. Was only given 1 small bath towel and 1 small hand towel. Hosts very friendly and was a very……

“Great property, clean, excellent master bedroom, well equiped, brilliant location and in a peaceful spot, however the hot tub stopped working / went to standby mode and couldnt be used so felt like the one main reason we booked this property and couldnt use it. The stairs are very steep and were difficult to go up and down. Ideal for kielder and surrounding areas. ”

“Great place to stay in Moffat's main street. I had a single room with spacious bathroom, kettle with coffee/tea, biscuits and milk in a fridge with bottled water and cola. Comfortable bed and all spotlessly clean. Friendly bar with nice varied menu plus good breakfast. Loads of parking outside. Really enjoyed my stay.”

“Room was fine, tea and coffee wasn't very nice and no complementary biscuits. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom. States Brompton however 8 miles away. Bed was really uncomfortable. Evening meal was nice, 10% surcharge on you bill! Wine expenses! Breakfast was so so. Waited a long time for someone to come to the checkin fest on arrival and departure. Probably would try an alternative hotel ”
