It's a 'bad' area, but I felt very safe. The check in was behind a window like at a bank, and both people I dealt with were extremely helpful. The room was clean, the 'city view' was the parking lot next door. It didn't matter to me as I spent very little time in the room. It was great to have a Mexican restaurant right next door, great food! Subway and a few more within a block or so. The windows must be well insulated or thick because I didn't hear any of the ambulances that I heard every 5 minutes from outside! I gave 4 stars because the room was very basic and the bedding was in need of an upgrade.
