"Wonderful experience at the Cheshire Cat! So much pride exhibited in this family owned and run business. Bed very comfortable, grounds lovely, lots of outdoor spaces which is important to me. And the breakfast and bonus choc chip cookies were delicious! Can’t wait to return to my new Go-to! Highly recommend!!

"This is a beautifully renovated older home turned into a BNB. Every detail has been preserved or highlighted with marble detailed bathrooms, modern cozy furniture and kitchens that I am truly envious of versus my own:). It is a BNB so some may not like the shared kitchen but in that case, reserve the Lotus Suite! We stayed in both the Lotus Suite and the Granada. I can't wait to come again! "

"We had a great stay the last week of July. Check in process was extremely easy and the check in host gave us information on things to do in the area. Continental breakfast was very nice. We didn’t get a chance to do their happy hour wine and cheese but such a nice opportunity for guests. Bed and room was very comfortable. The bathroom and shower were updated. We would stay here again!"
"Great Stay – Clean, Comfortable, and Convenient!
I had a great experience at this hotel. The room was updated and very clean, with a comfortable bed that made for a good night's sleep. It's just a short walk to the beach, which was super convenient. I also appreciated that breakfast was available and that there were bike rentals on-site—perfect for exploring the area. Would definitely stay here soon.

"Breakfast provided excellent choices.
Happy Hour was very nice.
The outdoor patio seating areas are excellent.
The pillows were very nice compared to many other places I've stayed and the bed was also very comfortable."
"This place was a little hidden gem in SB !! Within walking distance to the beach and pier just around the corner from state st my partner & I were super pleased with our stay here the hotel was very quiet. We were celebrating a birthday & they gave us a complimentary wine bottle to make it even more special. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. "
"Loved the friendliness of the staff. Bed was comfy and private enough. Breakfast was nice -real eggs and pancakes. and they had a bbq dinner in the evening. Centrally located to downtown sb. I was nervous because i had never stayed at a hostel before but it was better then expected. My only complaint is that the ice machine wasnt working"
"This hotel appeared to be one of the best presented and higher quality hotels in this this quieter area of town. We stayed in a suite that was spacious and well equipped with fridge, sink, microwave, sink - more than comfortable for family of four with teenagers. Pool and reception area was nice, welcome drinks and free coffee and cookies throughout stay nice touch. 5 mins walk to beach, 10 mins walk to State St. and 15 mins to Funk Zone. Felt perfectly safe walking at night so would be put off by location."
"Lovely property. Quiet neighborhood, yet close to State Street, shops, restaurants, wharf, etc. Our room was well appointed, and beds were very comfortable. We also had washer/dryer and kitchen which made our stay convenient. And we loved the rooftop seating! Only slight complaint is that living room furniture was not very comfortable for our movie night (couch and chairs are small, don't have headrests and are not oriented toward TV). But we made it work. We enjoyed our stay!"
"This is a lovely property very convenient to walk to restaurants, shopping and coffee shops. Pillows could better but didn't diminish our enjoyment of the lovely porch and happy hour! The restaurant was closed but will definitely make a nice option when available "
"Lovely room, had a nice balcony we watched the sun set from. Comfortable bed, large thick towels and good water pressure! Close walk to wharf and waterfront restaurants! Definitely would stay again"
"The staff was super friendly and exceptional and the rooms gorgeous! Big and spacious, white marble bathrooms, the most comfy bed and bedding. Loved everything about it!!!"
"What is so special about the Drift are the people. Everyone from folks at the coffee shop, check in team, to the GM Jacqueline are so lovely and provide excellent customer service! So completely above and beyond to make my stay wonderful!
I love the streamline design of the rooms, the yoga mat in every room, and the coffee every morning at Dawn! There are bikes and surf boards to borrow and enjoy in SB. Make sure you check out the yoga studio too!
Also, the location is perfect for exploring, especially all of the vintage shops and The Funk Zone!
I highly recommend staying at The Drift, and hope to check out their other properties. "
"Great property, would definitely stay again on a short trip. Rooms are on the smaller side, but it’s a small boutique hotel the staff and the lobby make up for the size of the room."
"We loved EVERYTHING about this place! The little loft was a perfect place for our 4th grade boys to enjoy while we came to complete their Mission Project and see Old Santa Barbara Mission. I brought my friend and her son (our boys go to school together). PERFECT EVERYTHING. I went to UCSB so I'm familiar with SB and surrounding areas so I was excited to see this was a PERFECT SPOT before booking you can't find a better spot. You can walk to everything and it's perfect. The pictures do not do this place JUSTICE. It is SO CUTIE! The decor, comfy beds, clean bathroom and cute little courtyard surrounding the house was perfect for morning coffee before we hit the mission and beach! The best beach (Leadbetter) is just a short drive away! Amy is very helpful and I can't wait book her place for another visit! "
Casa Jardin Unit 4-Boutique Suite in Downtown Santa Barbara
10/10 Excellent
"We loved this place! It was very cute and cozy and the place exceeded our expectations with amenities and a fully stocked kitchen. The host was very responsive and was always ready to answer any questions we had. The location was perfect and right in the middle of downtown with an easy 10 min drive to the beach. We did notice a few things like the floor was a bit dirty, but there were slippers provided in the room that we were able to use and when we arrived there were a few dirty pillows but they had extra pillows and pillow cases in the closet and the team did offer to have their cleaners come in and replace them for us. Other than that we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place!!"
