“For the price, this place is hard to beat. It was clean and comfortable with a great view. We didn’t try the restaurant across the street, but just down the street the Conch Shack was awesome. Service, particularly at night is definitely on island time, but the food was all good. We had a couple of questions for the owner during our stay and communication through the app was not great. “I stayed for 2 weeks to learn how to kiteboard. I had lessons at South Padre Island but things were not progressing very well. Markus an Simon helped me the entire 2 weeks. By the last 2 days I went to beach on my own, rigged and kited both days for 3 hours each. The place was great and I will go again maybe for a month next time. ”

“The host was very friendly and responsive, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the condition of the property itself left a lot to be desired. There was a lovely gazebo outside, but it had mattresses stored underneath, and the outdoor chairs were mismatched, old, and dirty. As a result, there really wasn’t anywhere comfortable to sit outside—which mattered since my room had no windows. A simple screen door would make a big difference, allowing guests to leave the front door open for light and……
