“The Captain Farris House is a beautiful place to stay. We had an amazing time. The room was beautiful and clean. Carol, the owner, was so kind and welcoming. The property is gorgeous and it’s very conveniently located to most attractions on the cape. The breakfast each day was incredible and the staff was super friendly and helpful with great tips for getting around. “My husband and I loved our stay at the Candleberry Inn. Before we even walked in the Inn, we were pleasantly surprised to see the charging stations for our electric vehicle. "AVOID THIS HOTEL One of the towels provided had a brown stain that was extremely ugly (doubt it may be undesirable marks, with a bad smell). What's worse is that I discovered it after shower when I was using it. This was unacceptable, especially for an esteemed vacation house like this. When I reported the issue to the front desk during check out, I received no apology and was told that no compensation could be offered because the booking was made through a third party (on Expedia), and the front desk could do nothing about it. He said he would report to the manager, and I received no follow-up. I find this response both unprofessional and disappointing. I also wrote an email to the management team and received no response. The general experience was unpleasant. I hope I can receive proper settlement from the hotel management team."
