The Fox Cottage was very cosy - very peaceful and relaxing with everything we needed, including a very nice welcome basket with home made brownies which we enjoyed when we arrived after a very long drive. The Fox Cottage is spacious, very well equipped and well situated not far from York and the North York Moors. The appliances in the house are modern and work very well. We found the beds comfortable, clean and well maintained. The cottage itself was very easy to access with a nice private accessible drive leading to it, off of the main road. The only minor downside was that the Wi-Fi did not reach all areas of the property, and there was no phone signal, but that was not a priority during our stay. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience with great service from the host. Sue had arranged a perfect welcome with brownies and a starter package with toast, jam and marmelade, milk and butter. This was our first holiday in Yorkshire, and thanks to the cosy barn, Sue, and the vèry friendly people in Yorkshire, we will gladly come back. The availability of the DVD player, wii and games trunk outside in the court yard area were perfect additions that kept the children happy and occupied during our stay. The cottage was perfect with all the home comforts. On arrival there was a lovely little hamper to get us going including some beautiful cupcakes. It was very comfortable and perfect with great outdoor space, including a some sports equipment including swing ball that our kids loved. The local town of Pocklington was lovely with everything in it along with a lovely market on a Wednesday, and you can walk there along the canal though it is quite a walk. It was also close to York yet the coast wasn't far off either. ##### Anna H. Had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Welcome hamper and everyday essentials very much appreciated. Nearby Pocklington lovely village.
