The hotel natural estate was beautiful, the grounds were in there own gardens , the staff very friendly , everything so clean and helpful. Everything was exceptional. The restaurant was very interesting and good , breakfast was so delightful with all the fruits and choices to eat. It is a 5 star excellent hospitality. The outside pool was lovely as well as indoor spa. Not hot but refreshing.

The staff is way too courteous in this hotel. Valter made sure that our stay was perfect, and help us book some nice tours.
Everyone was really polite and helped cover the few shortcomings the rooms had.

We have just had a 3 night stay at the Hotel and it was lovely. When we arrived the reception staff were very friendly and gave us a brief tour, when our room was ready we were again escorted there by a member of reception. The room was a great size with a small patio area overlooking the lush gardens. We had dinner in the restauarant on our first night, which was excellent, service was impeccable. We used the bar a couple of times, loving the idea that we got to choose our "Happy Hour", we also ate in the Bar on 2 occasions and again the food was excellent. Breakfast was very good with a great slection of food.The Hotel is very traditional and has a lot of character, we will hopefully return one day and would recommend to anyone who would like to be within 15 mins of the centre of Funchal but still stay in a "little oasis".
