Comfort at the Comfort Inn & Suites La Guardia

Pros: Beds & Pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast is included and hotel has business centre and free Wi-Fi.
Cons: Cable TV Signal not that great
Location: Not a lot to do around hotel. Very quiet. Great if you are taking flight out from La Guardia as hotel has shuttle to the airport.
We stayed here for our last night after deciding to stay in NYC for another day as the Hotel had free shuttle to airport. Check in was easy and Staff very friendly. Got a good recommendation for dinner and really enjoyed it. Got free drink coupons as well. Room is spacious and beds and pillows are very comfortable. Would stay here again. Well done Comfort Inn & Suites La Guardia Airport

Helpful people in NY/Queens

As an out of towner it was nice to have rides to airport and subway. I love cemetaries and history too. Some might freak at the close presence of Mt Zion Cemetary, but I found it a bonus. Close to O'Neills pub/bar too, which was tasty and convenient place to eat.

Not kind to reduced-rate guests?

Pros: Airport shuttle, breakfast included.
Cons: Don't put anybody on the bottom floor.
Location: Didn't explore, just stayed overnight. Not a very good neighborhood, though.
Our experience here did not go well. My wife & I arrived on a night with bad weather in NYC and elsewhere in the East. We were delayed arriving at LaGuardia, putting us finally at the hotel by 11:00 PM local. Many flights had been delayed/cancelled, so travelers sought rooms everywhere, including at this hotel where we had a confirmed reservation. With us in the hotel's shuttle were a couple whose flight had been cancelled and who had booked a room (at regular rate, probably) just that evening. By chance, they spoke to the front desk before us, having exited the shuttle ahead of us. Overhearing their conversation, they were given a room on the hotel's fourth floor, which meant nothing at the time, just a routine room assignment. The room we were given, though, was in the hotel's bottom sub-floor, adjacent to the elevator's mechanical room. Literally next to the machinery that drives the elevator. As a result, we were awake from approximately 2:00 AM onward due to the continuous noise from the elevator motors every time anyone pressed a button to call the car. We got virtually no sleep, and certainly no useful rest before our next day's travel. Sorely needed as we expected, and got, serious jet lag from taking a red eye to Dublin that night. So my caution to anyone booking here: Do not let them put you in any room on their bottom floor. I wonder if this is how they treat any guests who have booked a discounted rate, such as you'd get through Expedia.

not really worth it

Good thing this hotel offers a free airport shuttle, because it's in the middle of nowhere, Queens with some scary surroundings. Rooms relatively clean, but one gets the sense that the absolute minimum possible is done to meet sic requirements. I only stayed for one short night on a layover, and was exhausted. My room was freezing and stinky (and on the sub-level), bed comfortable enough with pillow-top, but sounded ancient. Will try and forget this for next time. I've paid the same price for much nicer in the city.

sad experience

I checked in around 10:30 pm. The room was cold so I moved the thermostat up to 72°. It warmed up a little, but still very cold, including the bathroom which had no heat. When the person from the front desk came to check the temperature, as I thought there was something wrong with the window heating unit, he indicated that the thermostat had to be at 80° in order for the room to be warm. When we decided to go to sleep and the room got quiet, the heater sounded very loud. And as the night temperature dropped even more, the heater, which would turn on and off every few minutes, started producing a rattling sound. I was with my sister, whom I had picked up from the airport, and my daughter. My sister was only able to sleep a couple of hours, but I was up all night. And I always sleep all night through without any problem. Did not want to wake up my child, but I would have left if I was alone. The hotel manager thanked me when I informed her of the problem and said she would have the unit checked. The $20.00 refund that I received did not make me too happy either, as the main purpose of a hotel is to allow you to sleep, and if that is not accomplished, the service for which I am paying for, is not provided.

Nice hotel close to LaGuardia

Nice hotel, quiet, (it is located in front of a cementery, ) very easy access from I495 and to Laguardia Airport. Nice room and bathroom, the reason I gave a 3 is because one of the sheets of one of the beds was dirty with something like sand. I asked for a replacement, but because late at night I needed to go back to the lobby to get new sheets and changed ourselves. Breakfast was continental with good selection of pastries, juices and coffee. I will use it again

I need a hotel near LaGuardia Airport and I found this one on Expedia and it was perfect. Clean, comfortable, nice staff, free internet, free shuttle and cheap for NYC! Will use again!!

After my flight got canceled due to snowstorm I needed a place to stay. jotel was very nice and staff was very accomidating as I needed to check in as early as possible. Staff wasn't very professional but friendly.
