We stay here every year for Halloween in SF and every year we are impressed with how clean the room is, how friendly the staff is, and how great the location is!

I was looking for a cheap place to stay in Berkeley that was convenient to the bus and Bart lines, and the Marina Inn was perfect. 51b stops right outside to go to downtown Berkeley, plus it is just a short walk down for the marina or the North Berkeley Bart station. Very clean and comfortable room, with hard wood floors and big screen tv. I was very happy with my choice.

This is a traditional, no-frills motel: you get a parking spot, a bed, a bathroom, TV, and not much else. It was exactly what I expected and wanted! The room was clean and spacious, the bed was large and comfortable, the bathroom had a bath/shower combo with fresh towels and a bar of soap. I was able to park so close to the room that unloading and reloading was a breeze. For sleeping, the room was dark and quiet, and I awoke refreshed. They also provided wifi and a desk if one wanted to...

Although I chose this hotel because of the low price, I still had some feelings when I first entered the street where this hotel is. I wasn't sure if I would feel safe and comfortable here. I even asked to see the room first before accepting it--this is not something I usually do. It looked simple, but clean so I went ahead and took it. Great location friendly very helpful staff

Property was clean and quiet

I had no issues with the hotel. I rolled into town at 11:45 so I was probably the last one on site. I just needed a place to sleep and it was easy to find, the staff had my reservation through Expedia, and was exactly what I expected. The room had been updated recently and was very nice, a lot better than I was expecting for the price. Slept like a baby and left at 7:30am to catch a train in Emeryville.

Helpful staff can’t complain

My first time here I am very pleased with this convenient access to SJSU for my classes and events. Though there was cheaper motels much further away I was very happy to be able to park and the kind staff even allowed me to park earlier and stay later than my Stay at the in the room the saving me hassle of having to re-park on campus The room was very clean, quite safe though there was no coffee tea set up inside the room, but the next-door has “Academic” coffee house. And many restaurants...

It was a bare bones facility, which is all we needed, clean and convenient to folks we were visiting, with a great cafe across the street. Staff was very friendly and check-in was easy. An extra blanket would have been nice, as opposed to having to turn up the heat, but we were plenty warm in the cool and rainy weather.
