"This hotel is in a downward spiral. Most of the gym equipment is unserviceable (Treadmills, Bikes, Elliptical) Hot tub jets not working in one tub. Noise coming from speaker sirens on the bedroom walls, so I had to wear ear plugs to sleep. Broken shower door, thumping sound from the AC. Inconsistent staff. A few really great employees that go above and beyond then the majority act as though you are interrupting their day when asking a question or making a request. Despite staying at this hotel over 10 times in the last 6 years, and identifying these issues prior. Nothing changes. Room service is impossible to order as they only have one staff member handling ALL room service orders. So you have to call room service, leave a message with your order, they never return your call and the order is never delivered. Or room service calls you back and they do not know what you ordered. We've told management that is not a sustainable plan but they have no authority to hire two more people to have a three person room service crew. One to take orders, one to make the orders and another to deliver. But they won't do that. Instead, they work one person to the bone, they quit and they have to start over. Very high employee turnover. This place is simply being mismanaged and does not have the effective full staff to manage what we all pay for to stay there. Sad. Because it has soooo much potential."

"We left pretty disappointed. This trip was for my wife’s 50th birthday, so I wanted a true resort experience. Unfortunately, it missed the mark. You are strictly paying for the beach location, not an updated, high-quality resort. The housekeeping/maintenance staff in the hallways were very pleasant, but the room itself was outdated and could have been much cleaner when we first arrived. Our balcony was on the side of the building, so our ocean view heavily featured a roof with construction work happening all day. Service was the biggest letdown. Front desk questions were met with attitude. When we asked about switching rooms due to the construction, they rudely told us we’d have to cancel and rebook just because we used a 3rd-party site—and we had already checked in. To rub it in, the lady checking us in made sure to say that if we hadn't used a 3rd party, we would have gotten a restaurant voucher for the Cypress Room. We felt like unwanted stepchildren. As a 'consolation,' we got free DVD rentals, but the selection was just basic streaming stuff and the lobby machine wouldn't even dispense the disc. To top it off, the indoor bartender corrected my wife in a very rude way. Later, we bought two drinks at the tiki bar that cost a fortune, and one was so horrible we threw it out. If you want a true resort feel, look elsewhere."

"The place is good mostly, but the cleanliness was a big issue. Our crawling baby had black knees and black feet after crawling around for just a few minutes in the room. The floor was very dirty. There was a large wad of hair in the floor next to the TV and also a lot of crumbs lying around. So the floor seemed not to be swept or mopped. The other big issue for us was that the dishwasher was basically nonfunctional. The racks were rusted out in multiple places so there were always rust flecks in the washer, which can’t be safe or sanitary. The detergent cup wouldn’t stay shut properly so dish detergent would just fall out when you closed the door, and the cycle knob would get stuck about 1/2 way through a cycle causing the dishwasher to shut down till you bumped the knob. Otherwise it seemed to be a great place. The pools seemed nice and well kept and the location right at the beach is fantastic. Just if it would have been clean I would give 5 stars."
