The property is beautiful and the service was great. The Steakhouse is a must try. I would return to this resort. The pool is awesome and it’s the perfect vacation spot.

I thought the front desk, reservations desk, doormen and bellmen were excellent and friendly. The housekeeping and room service staff were also excellent. I did not enjoy the food even though I went to several different restaurants at the resort. I felt some of the restaurant staff was unfriendly or lacked experience — especially in the finer dining options. I thought the karaoke at the Teens Lounge was fun and my kids really enjoyed their time at the hotel. They loved the water sports. If there could be more sports and social activities catered to teens, I believe it would add even more to the experience.

This hotel deserves to be named the Grand Nightmare Americana! My friend and I were constantly harassed by the security staff, who monitored us through the surveillance cameras and CCTV. We had two female friends visiting us from another hotel, who came to see us for an after party downtown. When our friends greeted us in the lobby, security immediately asked them to leave the premises. We were shocked and appalled, as our friends were only using the restroom in the nearby restaurant and did not feel welcome at all. The surveillance department was overbearing and monitored our every move in a very fascist and disturbing manner. It was like staying in a hotel run by a dictatorship from hell. To make matters worse, our hotel room upon arrival was disgusting and our sink was clogged and overflowing. We requested service and maintenance showed up to fix the issue. (We tipped the man who fixed our sink) However, during the night, we discovered that our beds were soaking wet! This was the most disturbing experience of them all. I strongly advise against anyone staying at this hotel. It was a terrible experience and I would not recommend it to anyone.

This property is falling apart and is dirty. The furniture is old and stained. The food is so bad that they managed to serve raw pasta. The buffet restaurant if you sit by the window water will fall on your plate from the ceiling and walls are dirty. I could go on but all I have to say is Stay away from this hotel. Terrible experience.

The property was great, the staff was friendly and the food and the alcohol were quality. The reason for my 4 star rating is that property definitely was rundown and in need for an upgrade when it comes to the rooms and lobby and sitting areas. Any outdoor eating areas definitely had a problem with the birds. The chairs all had bird droppings on them. they need to come up with a way to better control the birds because they would go in the tables and grab food and cause trouble. the outdoor seating in the restaurants definitely need an upgrade as well especially when it comes to the cushions they use. They were dirty, torn and worn out. I did not like that some of the better food establishments were closed for lunch and the nicer restaurants were only open for dinner. That made selection not great for lunch, but the way they have it reservation only did control the amount of people at the restaurants and the food was amazing in those restaurants. The property was great walking distance to a supermarket which had local goods. The only other downfall I can say with the property is that they did not do the best job with servicing by the pool when it came to food service by the pool as well as cleaning up towels by the pool. It was very unclear which chairs were taken and which were available. The downfall would not outweigh the amazing time we had and would consider the property again for the price.
