Best Resorts in Carmel Valley

"We LOVED this place. Sweet little family run property, nestled in the Carmel Valley hills. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. They had a lovely heated pool and hot tub, with nice new beach towels in the rooms for our use. Breakfast was delicious - waffles, egg bites, boiled eggs, yogurt parfait, avocado toast, coffee, etc. The shops, restaurants and wineries are walkable - with some nice dining choices nearby. Also, easy parking is included. Overall, great stay. The buildings are older, but well kept. Loved it!"

"The Lucia server staff was excellent, but food seriously overpriced and menu was fairly unimaginative. Prices on alcohol drinks very high. Front desk staff seems reactive rather than proactive. Check in process was overly lengthy and clumsy."

"This home is quite unique. It's big, funky, and the backyard is stunning. Lovely pool, amazing location, walk to town, gorgeous garden, great parking. However, it's dark, really dark, and most elements of the home are very tired (furniture, carpet, stone, tile, etc). The kitchen is really tiny for such a huge home, and it was very difficult to cook with another person in the kitchen. We had a wonderful time with family, yet I never found a comfortable place to sit inside the house. I did enjoy the backyard furniture. There was almost no water pressure in the shower; getting into the main bed was a challenge in itself (it's so high). I never felt good in the house or with the decision to rent this big, expensive place... I would not recommend this home with so many other options at this price point. But if what you want is the perfect garden, pool, etc... this is the place for you."

"We had an incredible experience. This was the perfect spot to get away from the crazy life in the city, and be with nature - and hand out next to some very friendly sheep and funny goat. The access to the RV was wild! Very scenic and beautiful, and every turn was worth it. The property was tidy and organized; the instructions to what to do or not to do when parking were very accurate; the space was clean and the hot tub was also very inviting, if a little colder than we expected but it was still really nice.Overall our stay was very comfortable, and the perfect escape from busy life. We recommend it so much, and we hope to stay there again!Thank you so much to our host!"
