"Overall great experience, loved the history of it. However, there is no private parking, only the street. There were dirty linen bags throughout the property, but our room was very clean. And the matress is beyond firm, almost felt like camping on the ground. Did not make for a good night sleep. But overall, we will definitely be bqck. Loved the food in the area and the museums. Had a great time!"

Ursulines Colorful Historic Home near French Qtr

Mid-City District
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (5)
"Everyone in New Orleans is nice The house is a "shotgun" so the living room is first followed by walk thru bedrooms X 2 then the kitchen and baths. My party had no issues with this but if someone is very shy they may take offense. There is a great diner on the corner run by the lovely Fatma, Fabulous coffee. My only suggestion is to add a hook or two in the smaller bathroom. I would definitely recommend this property"

Frequently asked questions

What is the nightly rate for a Bed & Breakfast in Chalmette?
Prices for B&Bs in Chalmette often vary, but you can find a great deal from $105 with Expedia. All sorts of factors affect price, such as location and the time of year. It usually costs more to stay at Chalmette B&Bs over the weekend too. Travelers can find the best deals by being flexible with their dates, and by using our filters to sort prices from low to high.
When is the best time to book a Bed and Breakfast in Chalmette?
The best time to book a B&B in Chalmette is during the vibrant spring months of February to April, when the city comes alive with festivities and mild weather. This peak season attracts travelers eager to experience the rich culture of the New Orleans area, just a short distance away. You'll find plenty of opportunities for sightseeing, such as visiting historic sites, enjoying local cuisine, and reveling in the lively atmosphere of Mardi Gras celebrations, which usually peak in February.

March is particularly popular, as the temperatures comfortably range from the mid-50s to the low 70s Fahrenheit, making it ideal for outdoor activities and leisurely strolls along the scenic bayou. The weather during this time allows visitors to fully immerse themselves in the local scene, whether it's exploring the vibrant arts district or enjoying the music that fills the air.

For those looking for a more budget-friendly experience, consider visiting in August, when you'll find fewer crowds and a more relaxed pace. This month can be a wonderful time to explore Chalmette's historical roots without the hustle and bustle of peak tourist season.
What is the difference between a Chalmette Bed & Breakfast and a hotel?
Every Chalmette B&B has its own unique feel. Whether it's a cozy reading space or a sunlit breakfast nook to enjoy your morning cup of coffee, the quaint details are what make bed and breakfasts a home away from home. Travelers can look forward to personal touches, thoughtful amenities and of course a scrumptious breakfast at Chalmette B&Bs.
