Loved the quiet location away from the hustle of New Orleans, yet great restaurants only a few easy miles away. It was the perfect wind down before we flew out the next day. “The Fairchild House is very charming, and all in all, is a nice place to stay, with reasonable rates. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was plentiful and good. Shrimp and grits on the weekend was so good, my husband became a convert. My biggest complaint is the tiny shower stall which needs something to make the shower floor non-slip. The bed was comfy, but the pillows were almost useless. The place was clean enough, with minor exceptions.”
