"It was a very late check in because of flight delays and so we were so exhausted we just wished for a seamless check in and get our room to rest but the front desk staff Demetrius went above and beyond and made our stay a wonderful one. He was very pleasant, professional, helpful and was attentive to our needs. Thank you, Demetrius for helping us ease our stressful day"

"The room was clean but very small, and it was well-worn. The common areas were also well worn. The hotel looks good from the outside butbis disappoiting the moment you step in the door. The hotel needs a make-over. In the room, the refrigerator was packed with items you had to buy, leaving no room for leftovers from local eateries. There was no microwave in the room, which I thought the advertisement on the internet said they had (but I could be mistaken) so we brought some popcorn to pop but there was no microwave to pop it in. There also was no coffee maker in the room. You had to go down to the lobby to get coffee in the morning. Having a one cup coffee maker in the room with plenty of coffee would have GREATLY enhanced our stay. We could dress slowly and not have to jump into clothes to run downstairs for coffee. Because we paid Cubs game day rates, we paid $546 a night. So don't be cheap -- give us something to make it worth that rate. Our cab driver indicated other travelers had been disappointed with the hotel too. The male staff acted indifferent to us. The women staff were very nice to us and helpful. What I liked was that it was walking distance to Wrigley Field, there were good eateries close by, and the neighborhood was safe and friendly, even at night. Lots of women walk their dogs late and seemed OK about it."

Motel 6 Schiller Park, IL - Chicago O'Hare

"First off- I know this is a Motel 6. I'm not expecting a Hilton. But this stay was... just okay. Positives- AC worked well, the room was clean. I enjoyed being able to park on site. There was lots of space to put bags on as I don't like putting bags on the floor. The front desk was 24 hours, which was MUCH appreciated. However, I do have some things that could be upgraded. First off, why wasn't there a microwave in the room? I paid extra for a fridge and my food just sat there the whole weekend. I wanted a fridge so I could cook some leftovers in the microwave... but yeah, there goes that idea. My door didn't latch unless you slammed it. I always kept the safety measures in place because I was worried it wasn't latched. That's a HUGE safety concern. The TV wasn't connected to the internet so it did nothing. It was the middle of the night so I didn't bother trying to get them to help. During the day, I was much too busy to go. My biggest concern is the early check in. We called and were told as long as rooms were available, we could check in at 11. So we showed up at 11:30 and were told there were no rooms. We were going to a music festival so we got ready in the car and changed clothes in the Denny's bathroom. But my biggest concern is that I paid extra for this.... and she said "I wouldn't be charged for this." I was. So how do I get the money back?? Overall, I have stayed at many Motel 6's over the years and this was one of the worst ones."
