Cozy little lakeside cottage with AMAZING views of beautiful Clinton lake. Set on the front deck and listen to all the sounds of nature while watching all the activity on the lake!! What a great place to unwind. Serene and private setting. This quite and peaceful country property will allow you to unwind and forget about all your worries of everyday life. New custom kitchen with quartz counter tops and an island large enough to seat 12. The kitchen is the front of the cottage so everyone can enjoy the view while cooking, dining or playing games. This cottage is one you will book again and again.

There is boat slip rental available at Barefoot Cove Marina 6599 Sailboat Rd. Weldon Il. 61882
$35 for first night and $30 every night after.
We have plenty of boat trailer parking on the property so you don’t have to leave your trailer at the Marina. The yard is not fully fenced in.

Amazing Property
We had a great weekend retreat focused on rest and relaxation. The Lakeside cottage was beautiful and our only complaint was the weather wasn’t warm enough to enjoy the back deck. I strongly recommend this beautiful place for a small group! Thanks to the hosts for a great property!

We gathered with adult children for late Christmas. I primarily picked for location and size but was so pleased with the cottage extras. Stayed during extremely cold weather and stayed toasty. Walked property with dogs ,cooked all meals at cottage , played games and relaxed.Thank you for such a memorable week.

Perfect weekend with family.
Invited family from out of town for Clinton HS homecoming. The property was spotless. Outside beautifully maintained. It was so pretty the kids wanted their homecoming pictures taken on site. Very peaceful at night and in the morning for the adults sitting on the deck. Hosts were perfect. Quick response to any question. Beautiful and peaceful weekend.

Fantastic Friends' Reunion Getaway
The property was fantastic, and the views amazing. I was pleased, as the house looked every bit as good in person (maybe even better) than in the photos. It was conveniently located near the marina, where we rented a pontoon boat for the day at a great price. This house is a gem for anyone looking for a weekend away at Clinton Lake. After boating the lake, it was clear that there are very few homes (if any) with a view like this. Would absolutely return and recommend it to others!

Cutest Cottage Ever!
Charlie’s Lakeside Cottage is one of the cutest rentals I have ever rented. The level of detail the owners have put into decorating the house is fabulous and interesting. They provided everything we needed to make our stay convenient and comfortable. The outside offered several seating areas. Oh, and did I mention the pretty view of Lake Clinton. We could put our boats in at either marina within just a few minutes. My family loved it and the memories we made while there is priceless!

College Besties Trip
Myself and my two best friends from college just stayed for 3 days. It was wonderful. The cottage is so cute and comfortable, with everything you need to make your stay relaxed and easy. The location was great; right by the lake. We hiked and went to the beach. We said we should make this "our place" to meet every year!

Everything about the Cottage offers relaxation & renewal. My friends & I were on a Silent Retreat to spend focused time with The Lord & it is the perfect setting. The view of the lake is beautiful. The grounds, trees, flowers, outdoor seating... are refreshing. The Cottage itself is spotless, with an incredible view of the lake & every amenity one can think of. Very kind & accommodating hosts!

We had the best, most relaxing, time! Outdoor yoga, knitting, nighttime firelight chatting, community tacos . . . it was the perfect weekend away to fill our Busy Mahomet Mama Cups! Here's to friendship and Charlie's cottage! The BEST!

The place was fantastic and perfectly accommodated us. We did not have much luck fishing the lake but that had absolutely nothing to do with your place. I left feedback in your guest log about this but it is beside the point. One point for you to consider . . . There were quite a few items on the coffee bar but we did not know if those were for us to consume or if we would be charged for eating them. Perhaps put a little sign or note out explaining that for future guests. Other than that, everything was great!

Really impressed with how well decorated and maintained the inside of the property. Host was very quick to respond when I had questions. Kitchen was beautiful and well equipped. Overall we enjoyed our stay and our thankful for the experience. Some recommendations : 1. Add felt pads to the bottom of the island chairs. This is because the noise transfer for the bottom bedrooms is intense and disrupts someone's sleep. 2. Find a way to make entrance/parking space less muddy. 3. Fix/replace sliding door handle (very loose)
