Room was small but it was all I needed for myself. It’s a little dated but the room was clean and pretty quiet. Staff was nice and the location is pretty conveniently close to Michigan avenue. I would book this hotel again.

The facilities surcharge (for exercise room we didn't want/use; for "free water") is surprising and unwelcome. Tell me EXACTLY what I will pay when reserving. Room TV didn't work, could not reset HVAC temperature, was missing an in-room refrigerator

The property needs to be updated. Why would they let someone at the front desk wear a blazer without a shirt? So unprofessional. The whole experience with the staff was unpleasant. I definitely won’t be staying there again.

This historic property has a lot to offer. It probably could use some renovations to upgrade it a little bit. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Not a lot of bells and whistles. However, for the price we felt it was a good value. We enjoyed the location.

Hotel Lobby is beautiful. Restaurant The Nix served delicious breakfast. Although this is a historic hotel…. Updates need to be made to guest rooms. Carpet was very old, peeling wallpaper, water damage stains on baseboard, chips in furniture. Bathroom shower was very nice .

Love love love staying at the Knickerbocker! The location is amazing. The doorman Syringe is even more amazing! I stay there because of him as well. He takes care of the guests for sure:). Will stay there again for sure. No question about it.

This property has bed bugs and we ended up having to leave in the middle of the night. They also continued to try and charge my card in 50 dollar increments after I had checked in. They did this in the middle of the night when the guest would not be aware of the attempted extra charges. They also still haven’t released my deposit. Will never stay here again. Family vacation turned into a nightmare because of this hotel.

This is my second time at the Knickerbocker and will definitely be back! It’s very modern below and friendly and then you get up towards the rooms and it’s hallways are like you’re back in time and then the rooms are nice or at least we’ve had a nice one both times beds comfy, and that’s huge for me!!

The room had like mold around the top wall in the bathroom around the shower. The doorman was asked to bring up the luggage he avoid the question when asked, so we took our own luggage up.

Great location and easy parking across the street. Room was very small, but that was fine. The only problem was the lack of good lighting in the bathroom (or anywhere) to put on makeup. In addition, we arrived at two p.m. and had to pay an extra $40 to check in before three p.m., which seemed ridiculous.
