“Placerville is an adorable historic gold mining town with a lovely main street with lots of cute shops and restaurants. The historic Cape Hotel looks exactly like it did 150 years ago in all of its old photos. It is like stepping back in time. It has the second oldest working elevator west of the Mississippi. The staff was extremely friendly. You get to park for free directly behind the hotel (after checking in they will give you a pass to put in your window). Each room is given a cute little……

“One of the best studio 6 I’ve been at. The receptionist was kind & check in was fast and easy. The rooms are clean and beds are comfy.”

“I was very happy with my stay at the Foothills Motel. The location was convenient to the shops, restaurants and wineries in the Auburn area. The staff was very helpful with directions and other questions. The bowling alley nearby was an added delight and a great price. I highly recommend the Foothills Motel.”

“Good location to all the things and places we wanted to explore. Happy that pets were accepted and had some grass to run around. Yet with pets accepted there were no trash cans anywhere outside to dispose trash. Had to take with us to dispose somewhere else. Room was spacious yet bed lil uncomfortable. No pool :( yet Pleasant, nice garden and wouldn’t mind staying if we needed a quick getaway”
