Book now and rent this amazing 3,000 sq. ft. vacation home located in the private Whalehead Beach community. Charming and spacious, this tranquil getaway is just a short walk to the beach. It's an open 6 bedroom 3 bath, with plenty of natural sunlight and can comfortably accommodate up to 18 guests (8 adults and up to 10 children/young adults).

GROUND LEVEL:
Includes a game room equipped with an arcade machine, ping-pong table, and foosball table. Brand new washer and dryer are also located on the ground floor. Outdoors, the property includes a basketball court, beach volleyball court, charcoal grill, two picnic tables, an outdoor shower and two car ports.

MAIN LEVEL:
Includes an open family room with new 70" Smart TV, eat-in kitchen with plenty of counter space, two dining tables, two sinks, 4 bedrooms each with their own 50" Smart TV; 1 Master bedroom with new king size bed and access to the wrap around deck, 3 bedrooms with queen size beds (2 of these bedrooms also have access to wrap around deck). 2 full bathrooms are also located on the main level.

TOP LEVEL:
Open loft with a large bedroom including a new 40” Smart TV. 4 sets of bunk beds (6 twin & 2 full) perfect for sleeping up to 10 children or young adults (top bunks are rated for a maximum of 200 lbs). Nook room with private exit to sun deck and narrow twin bed is also located on top level and is ideal for an older child or teen (there is no TV in the nook room). There is also one full bathroom located in loft between the bedroom and nook room. The top level also has access to sun bathing deck to enjoy a beautiful sunrise or sunset.

My family and I enjoyed this amazing home. Super comfortable beds, loved having a TV in every room, and the large open space was great for family time. Quick short walk to the beach which is so private and peaceful, true paradise!!!!! We’d definitely stay here again!

Destination Family Reunion
Our family had not gathered for our reunion since 2019. We decided to try a destination reunion for a week this time to reconnect after the pandemic. Family came from Atlanta, Charlotte , Maryland , Arizona , Virginia Beach ,Richmond and Hampton. We had an awesome time with a great cookout in the back yard and those that stayed at the house enjoyed spending time together , cooking meals and relaxing. In the porches , in the hot tub and playing games . I would highly recommend this property

Cabin at the beach
6 adults and 8 kids, perfect space for all of us! The kids enjoyed the rec room and games. And all the adults enjoyed the open floor area of the kitchen, dining, and family room. I can’t speak for the other beds personally, though I was told everyone slept comfortably, but I will say that the master bedroom king bed was absolutely comfortable, and things like that are extremely important to us when we go away from our own bed and we were so grateful for the rest we were able to have especially after keeping up with the kids all day. I’m not sure that it’s even 150 yards to the beach. It is a very easy walk, that also was really awesome. You’re also only a few minutes away from many other attractions and grocery stores. When we find ourselves back in Corolla in the near future, we will definitely be at this home again and would recommend it to anyone especially large groups. also, I’m kind of a tech person and this is worth passing along to future renters, the high-speed Internet at the house is really good from spectrum cable I measured the Wi-Fi speed at over 350 Mb downloads which should easily support large groups in the house and any Wi-Fi needs, no one had any issues with that at all. The wraparound decks are also really amazing for just being able to navigate from the front to the rear house if you were wanting to hang out and overlook the backyard while the kids are playing. Every door you stuff out of you could walk around the entire house on the deck and back into another door. Really nice! I think it is also worth noting that the room with all the bunkbeds is obviously for all the kids and we had two different families worth of kids, and all of them enjoyed hanging out and the Bedroom with the bunkbeds it was kind of a kid club house feel, which gave the kids a sense of a getaway of their own as well. The overall feel inside of the home with its decorations was very homey, feeling and welcoming nothing unusual or loud..

Great place for large family!
There were 17 of us staying and we had plenty of space! There was tons of activities at the house, spacious area, short walk to the beach and the owners were very responsive! There were 5 bikes at the house which was an added bonus! If you have a large family or a large party this is a great place and great location!

Perfect for Family Get-together
Located just a short walk to the beach, this home was perfect for our extended family reunion. The big open family room was great for eating and lounging around after our days’ activities and then we all had our “space” when needed! The downstairs ping-pong and PAC-man were a big hit too. Beds were comfortable and the owners were so quick and helpful when we had questions. Close to so many activities that we chose to do—wild horse tour, kayaking, jet-skiing, and of course the beach!

Great House
We loved this property in Whalehead. The design of the house allowed us to be together while having our own space. The kids loved the gaming parlor. The Whalehead community has great parking close to the beaches. We rented golfcarts but they weren’t necessary. Loved the location.

Family vacation remembering Mom
The host was very easy to communicate with. This was our first VRBO experience and it went smoothly. The home and location were perfect and we felt the rental was a fair price for the 4th of July week. The home was close enough to walk to the beach and to get to stores and restaurants. For the kids the bunk room was a big plus. They really enjoyed having their space. Kids and adults enjoyed the volleyball net and the game room. A lot of friendly competition. A lot of great memories were made while there.

Great house for a family that loves to be together.
The location is great. We loved being near the beach where the wild horses were and we would go there daily in our 4x4. Also, daily to the beautiful beach which was so easy to get to. Also, you can see the sunrise on the beach or walk to the Historic Park in Corolla and see the sun set. In the same day. The house is kid friendly (nice but not fancy, furniture worn but fine) except for the kitchen where there are no small spoons or plastic cups, etc. We loved the fact that the table did seat 13 and managed to put the 4 older kids on the bar stools so we could all eat together. We were 17 all together so it maxed it out. The three full baths were manageable for our gang but we did have to plan a bit. A little more attention to detail (a bathroom drain was sluggish, one night we tried to use the HDMI cable and it was broken, huge spoons but no small spoons in the kitchen) would help to make the experience better. We had a great time!

awesome family vacation/reunion
the house and area was perfect for us, close walking distance to beach, restaurants, park on the sound side where we watched sunset, went to a wine and beer fest family friendly and the whale head museum, lighthouse and we were even able to walk and see the wild horses. The house and area exceeded our expectations. Also enjoyed the bikes and the game room. Not knowing the area before we booked we were a little concerned if we made the right choice but after we see other more crowded areas, we feel this is the best place!! Thank you so much!

I went for a long weekend and it was great. The pictures show you what it looks likes but can't tell you and clean the house is and how comfortable it is to stay here. I will definitely go back. The area is a nice find with great restaurants for Breakfast ,Lunch and Dinner. The house also has bikes if you want to cruise around. The host are also available if you have any questions. I know you will enjoy as much as I did !

Incredibly relaxing vacation
What a charming place for a family vacation! Accommodates a large family (close to 20) with spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. Kitchen was nicely stocked with needed cooking utensils for our stay. Walk to the beach was short with an available parking lot close by. Owners were extremely kind and responsive. Would highly recommend to other guests and will consider this property as a vacation destination for our family in the future!
