“One of the few 'beach hotels' on the island -- many say they are, but you usually have to cross a road, or the beach is 'next' to the property. This is essentially a beach compound and private! The pool is big, clean, lots of seating. Lay around and watch / listen to the ocean, or use a beach lounger with free towels and lay at the ocean. The beach must be 100 feet deep and hundreds of feet wide, LOTS of beach to use to be alone, or gather, play games, etc.

“We visited Barbados for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary and loved everything about our stay at Bougainvillea. The beachfront location, service, amenities, location, etc. were all incredible. We used public transportation the whole time and were within a 10-15 minute ZR bus ride of almost every major point of interest we wanted to visit (the Oistins fish market, west coast beaches, catamaran launch sites, and fine restaurants). “We stayed at Dover beach the day we flew in before going to sandals. The staff was very accommodating and kind. The food at the restraunt was tasty and the room was clean. In the morning we walked over to sandals easily.”

“The room was very spacious, it overlooked the beach, with a large patio. There is beach access, the beach is the hotels backyard. The kitchen had a large fridge, microwave, and a coffee maker. Plates and silverware was available, however; the utensils were not that clean. No complimentary teas, coffee, nor shampoos was available. Beach towels were provided and you had to pay for beach chairs. The staff was great and very helpful. The front desk was amazing from checkin to checkout.”
