“The property is older like many reviewers say,”

“Don’t expect an early check-in. We arrived at 12p and had to wait until 4pm for check-in and the room still wasn’t even ready. They let 2 others get a room and we continued waiting until 4:30pm to get a room. The bathroom has a broken panel that was off multiple days and their fix was just placing it against it but clearly had a problem flushing because it wasn’t appropriately attached. Water pressure was horrible in the shower. The pool’s floor conditions were poor and every day the water……

“The staff was absolutely fantastic. The property is somewhat older and could use a refresher. Unfortunately, there was severe leak from the room upstairs and we had to move rooms. As this was around 1am-2am, there was no available staff to help move us. The night manager was as helpful as she could be. Some of the amenities were only available across the way at Dreams and it is a bit of an annoyance to have to wait on a golf cart to get there. I personally didn't find the pods or property of Il……

“First solo trip I've ever taken. Went Tuesday-Friday. Was looking quiet and relaxed, and that's exactly what Avila was. The lagoon was beautiful. Food in both restaurants was good. I considered a meal plan but didn't need it. If you eat three whole meals a day, then maybe worth it. One thing, not a complaint though, I was waiting for wait staff to come around and take a drink order on the beach but couldn't find any. The QR code to order food/drink only worked if you had a credit card……

“Resort was beautiful. Clean rooms, updated, staff was nice and always helpful. Restaurant attached is not part of the hotel and not great. Not a good verity of food and you can’t run a tab for food or drinks. Restaurant at Lions Dive was way better. We swam across and ate at Hemingway instead.”
