“The cabin was spotless. Kitchen was fully stocked for any kind of cooking. We had a couple of minor issues but Jamie replied right away and got them addressed.Arcadia is a quaint old town. We had dinner at some really good restaurants - Brothers Fish House and Slim's BBQ were awesome! “Cockroaches, bed bugs, absolutely filthy rooms in a state of disrepair. Holes in walls, floors slippery with grease, 100 cigarette burns in comforter, chair upholstery caked with black filth.”

“What makes this place wonderful is the peaceful quiet next to the river. Meagan was a great host and seeing her informal sanctuary for goats, ducks, and chickens all living the dream is heartwarming. I REALLY enjoyed kayaking the horse creek (one direction leads to the larger Peace River) seeing Spider Lilies for the first time and I didn’t encounter another soul on the water! I stayed in “the boathouse” cottage and while the shower was tiny the space was neat, clean and had everything needed……

“The host was very gracious in allowing us to check in early so we could attend to family matters, which we truly appreciated. The property felt very welcoming, with thoughtful touches like breakfast items and snacks left for us.A few things were disappointing — the water had a strong sulfur smell, the shower handles were not fully clean, and the outdoor pool wasn’t usable due to the breaker continually tripping.However, the setting itself was wonderfully quiet and serene, and our grandson……
