"The room we booked and paid for we did not get, the room was comfortable and nice enough but the first night was extremely noisy as their was a bus load of very inconsiderate people. Lots of construction going on around the hotel. Not the greatest stay we have had in Vietnam"

"Very good service staff (particularly Lien Chau and Lien Nguyen) at the reception and the restaurant respectively. Both were polite, attentive, very helpful and pleasant. Overall a beautiful hotel at the top of a hill, easy walking distance to the town, not far from Sun Plaza where we took the train to cable car station. Just don't go to the peak on a public holiday as the queue is horrendous. We waited 5 hours just to get to the top!"

"Stay was so-so. Room wasn’t very clean when I arrived - sink was not cleaned and had hair/toothpaste stains, there was garbage in the garbage can. You could plug in either the tv or the fridge but not both! The reception was usually empty, and often the lights would be off and you would have to feel your way to the stairs. "DO NOT STAY HERE. We were hoping for a resort-style place to unwind for a day before we travelled to Sapa. We arrived at 6am hoping for an early check-in. We paid NZD90 for a night and were charged USD80 (NZD120) to check in early. Breakfast was sparse and tastes awful - this place had the worst selection we have encountered so far. The place feels eerie, like you're in a horror movie. Everything smells like cigarette smoke. The only other guests we saw were what looked like Chinese high rollers...

"Watch out when booking this complex as they give you a room in their 2nd complex behind the front one so no view etc. Quite deceiving. The pool is a waste of time, no where to put your towel, no atmosphere & very cold. Would not waste my time staying out of the centre to stay here when better options for much cheaper."
