“The staff was very nice but the room was very dirty. Every where you looked it needed cleaned. Ok for a 1 night stay but not more than that.”

“The room was not properly cleaned and had cobwebs everywhere, including on the ceiling. It was bad enough that I had to personally clean the dust and cobwebs off the bed's headboard just to feel comfortable.”

“Staff were very good, we arrived quite late at night because of the train mishap. It was raining and cold, we were made welcome and shown to rooms until we were happy with the choice!, room was warm clean and tidy. Breakfast was great lunch was delicious. A wonderful memorable stay will go again definitely!”

“Room was clean but small especially bathroom. Variety of food for breakfast but could be improved. Reception area very good but rest of hotel could do with refurbishing.”

“Lovely hotel and grounds for our overnight stay. Good sized room which had the welcome addition of air con. Breakfast selection was outstanding and staff were very pleasant and welcoming.”

“Stayed for 2 nights. The hotel offers an excellent location right next to the Watford Junction station, and a 5-muinutes walk to the Watford High Street. The room was clean and well-maintained. We opted for the breakfast and it was a good choice. Not a wide food selection but everything served was of great quality. Very nice coffee too! The staff were also very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.”

“Stayed June 20 & 21, 2026. The directions were great, the staff very helpful and accommodating. The 2 nights were very hot & humid! Didn't know how to open the windows, thought they needed keys, but they didn't. We're from Canada so the windows are different. Luckily we had a fan in the room to help us sleep the 1st night. With the windows open the 2nd night, we still needed the fan for comfort. Apparently the UK was having a heat wave! Sam, the owner/manager (?) was very responsive and……
