“Chic and trendy hotel. Very nice staff and always willing to help. Free valet parking. Area is probably a little more mixed - the hotel themselves don’t recommend walking on the street alone after dark. We just took uber point to point and we were fine. We would always see hotel staff/security so it felt safe enough. One small complaint - we stayed on 5th floor which is right underneath the rooftop bar and could hear some stomping. Could not hear sound from other rooms next door so that bit……

“I chose the Grand Daddy for the convenience of location and it's overall heritage/funky vibe. As it was our first visit to Cape Town, we were unaware of how "lively" Long Street is! Unfortunately, there was also a party within the hotel on the night we had a 4:30 am flight. I assume this happens often as earplugs were left in the room. If you are interested in the party scene, this is the place to be. The staff was wonderful, the Hotel was very clean and our room itself was comfortable.……

“location wise, It's not exactly at the waterfront area, however, it's still well connect with the most pleasant area in Cape Town. I think the complimentary shuttle boat make the difference. We had a mountain view double room, which is quite amazing. We can see the table mountain directly from our window. The parking is quite nice, however, there's an extra fee on it. The stuffs are nice, still lack of experience. In general, I'd stay here again if I had the chance to visit the city again.”
