“The staff were very polite nd friendly. The room was very spacious with a large comfortable bed. There was a kettle with loads of tea, coffee, sugar and milk supplied. There was a shower in the bathroom . With very large towels which smelled lovely . Lots of shampoo, shower gel snd body lotion supplied. I will definitely be going back ”

“Good onsite parking within a very short walk to Battle high street and abbey but unfortunately the abbey park grounds were closed but none the less had a lovely pre Christmas one night stay at the Chequers, the food was of good quality both evening and breakfast, staff friendly and helpful, the room spacious and mattress very comfortable but could all do with refreshing but bear in mind it is a very old Inn circa 1478 but what is really needed are blackout blinds on the windows as our room was……

“Absolutely stunning property for those who like a bit of history. Host was so accommodating to our needs. Beds were exceptionally comfortable and we felt so relaxed making the most of the roll top bath. Breakfast was top drawer (loved the sausages especially). Nothing to fault. “Battle is a very small town; having the helpful hotel staff in the neighborhood is certainly a plus. This building has existed as of the 16th century, and it's been properly maintained and apparently renovated in the toilet/bathroom.”

“Staff were absolutely incredible. Dianna on reception was courteous, polite and ever so helpful. Thank you for making me feel like home during my stay. Dianna and her amazing team even helped out by washing and drying some clothing. Mid way through my work trip it was as a relief to know I had clean business and personal clothing. The young bar staff were also very kind and welcoming. ”
