“Just like the picture. Vince was great at check in. Recommended great restaurants in Beddeck. We ate at the Seafood family restaurant. Excellent. Had the steak dinner. Coffee and tea in room. Great location.”

“Liked: The beds were very clean and one of the most comfortable that I’ve slept in. The cement walls meant you barely heard your neighbours except when they opened/closed the door. The heat pump was great to adjust temp/cooling. The rate was a really great value. There was plenty of hot water. What could use some work: Some of the towels looked dingy and had stains. They should be replaced, it’s not a welcoming visual even if the rest of the linens were clean. The satellite TV lost……

“I was contacted early on the day of arrival which was really nice as you immediately knew there were no problems with the reservation. Asked of any allergies were applicable in advance of breakfast the following morning. Upon arrival met by the owner and given all the information and shown to our beautiful room This location is like stepping back in time but with the modern touches in the bathroom . The bed and breakfast is very clean and the breakfast is a treat in itself with a Nova Scotia……

“We ate dinner and breakfast in the onsite restaurant before catching the ferry. The food was tasty and served hot. It was nice to just walk to the restaurant rather than having to drive somewhere else. The room was very hot and we could not turn the heater off.”

“I really liked the location and setting. It's perfect for someone looking to be fully immersed in nature. It's quiet, calm, and natural in every way. Staff were friendly and helpful. The remote beach behind the resort grounds is not to be missed - gorgeous! Saw a bald eagle perched on driftwood fairly early in the morning. I thought my mattress was a bit too thin and the springs quite noticeable. I was able to sleep okay, but it kept coming to my attention that it might be time to replace. I……

I chose the Royal Hotel based on its excellent Google reviews and the owners' thoughtful responses, and it did not disappoint—I enjoyed my stay so much that I've already booked another night for next week. Baby Rango the toy poodle and Billy Bean the Siamese cat are absolutely adorable, and Carmen is as warm, colourful, and memorable as the hotel itself.”

“We booked 2 rooms and they wanted to split us up and put 1 couple in the basement!! Stay away from the basement! Smelly and dark! We were finally able to get both rooms together which were fine! AC worked well and breakfast was really good! Cigarette butts everywhere outside and a dead mouse in the parking lot! Very disappointed at this Best Western!”
