“I've always enjoyed the North hotel. Only disappointment this time is that I travelled with my puppy and there are only double beds in pet friendly rooms which made sleeping poor. Otherwise, cleanliness was perfect.”

“This motel appears to have been built in the 1970s and not much has been done to the rooms since then. The bed sagged badly in the middle. The paint was peeling of the walls an ceiling. It is however the cheapest accommodation in Louisbourg, and the fortress at Louisbourg is well worth a visit.”

“The restaurant was not open when we arrived so I can not rate it. It was open at check out and there were a number of people dining there.”

“The hotel is located on a point 5 minutes from the Fort of Louisburg. Each room had its own entrance and was beautifully decorated. We had dinner in the restaurant which also had entertainment. The waiters looked familiar and had Scottish accents. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. There was lots of parking and we could see the Fort of Louisburg from our window. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if we ever came back.”

“The only issue was keeping the water temperature constant in the shower. Otherwise excellent room for the price point.”

“We were shocked by the condition of the facility. Broken doors, awful smell and filth in the corridors, corners of the bedroom, bathroom, etc . The first room they sent us to wasn’t even made up. Disgusting. At least the beds were made in the 2nd, but we were nervous to lay on the sheets, etc. The fridge, microwave worked. No coffee in the room. Everything was very old and dated - nicest spot was restaurant, but ‘breakfast’was scrambled eggs, sausages and potatoes. A few muffins to choose……
