"Booked a room on a higher floor and because of an event they were having at the hotel. They were overbooked so we were bumped from the room we booked and put in a first floor ADA. It was a birthday getaway and it was very disappointing. we are getting married next January and we were checking out hotels for our guests. Not sure I would recommend. Stillwells was good !! "

"I asked for a smoking room, so I could smoke a bowl of my prescribed med, was told the non-smoking rooms were "nicer" but I needed a smoking room. BIG mistake. The floors were dirty, the coverlet AND blanket had holes burned in them, there were small dead roaches on the floor, as well as 2 that I killed... It building is Right next to the freeway, and the building shook with every big truck that passed above. All in all, it was a very very uncomfortable night, with all of my belongings packed in the car to keep bugs out of them."

"First off, this property is in transition from an old hotel to an updated one. We saw painting in progress. The lobby has a great vintage vibe as was the design of the microwave and fridge in our room. Our overall experience was not great though. Our room shared a wall with another and we heard them and their t v into the early morning hours. The shower was clean but took TEN minutes to get hot. Two towels and one washcloth was provided for a two night stay. The bed was a other issue and clanked when we sat down or turned over. That said, this was room15. We will hope that these negative experiences did not occur in the bungalows and other guest quarters."

"Got 2 loads of laundry stolen out the dryer and when notified staff to roll back cameras I was told sorry I'm only able to see live view on the cameras so what is the point of even having cameras so ya took a loss on a lot of clothes "

"Ac / heating units are old and make alot of noise. I was woken up at 430am to what sounded a fire alarm going off. Turns out it was the ac unit on the ceiling. Called down and was offered ear plugs or to change rooma at 430 AM I was able to finally fall back to sleep around 8am. Went down to show them a video of the sounds and where it was coming....i was apologized to and given 1 hour extra to check out at 12 instead of 11...talk about not being aware of how the customer feels. I can care less about the "thank you" for letting them know about the AC... Probably will avoid this hotel moving forward, as i felt like i was not taken care of."

"I love this place. It’s like a beautifully kept little castle in the middle of the city. The room was spotless.The grounds are gorgeous. The pool is in the courtyard surrounded by plantings that are well maintained. I highly recommend Ayres Hotel."
