"At check-in the front desk clerk couldn't wait to disappear behind the manager's door.We had no chance to ask questions.We were on 2nd floor and no elevator.The smoke detector was missing and the tv remote didn't work.Since there was no phone in the room we had to go back down to the front desk to complain.They said they would be up in 5 minutes.30 minutes later we went back to the front desk.There was a different clerk who seemed like he didn't want to be there and told us the other person was eating.He called another clerk who told us maintenance had been contacted.The maintenance guy actually wanted to just hand us the smoke detector rather than put it up on the wall plate.We asked if he was going to test it and he did not.We did.The remote he brought didn't work.We caught the guy before he left the hallway.3rd remote worked.The room was insufferably hot.There was no shampoo, conditioner, body wash. No coffee or water cups.1 wash cloth only for the 2 of us.We would have had to go down to the front desk to ask for anything but we were fed up by then.Breakfast was terrible. Waffle batter was empty.Only 2 bananas, bread, a few muffins, 1 yogurt, cereal, coffee with plastic straws for stirrers. Juices were in caraffes.The 2nd guy we saw at the front desk peeked in the breakfast area and was totally disinterested.No one cleaned the tables. At checkout his response for our complaints about the room was that they were remodeling and it was housekeeping's resasponsibility."

"Only stayed one night...no elevator... Front desk staff immediately accommodated us by giving us a 1st floor room--conveniently located for our needs."

"Well maintained, however decor, furniture etc. seems to have been purchased new in the 1970s. Mattress very hard. However, for the low price quite adequate."

"It was all that you would think it would be. There is one issue that i had....it makes no reference on the app about a "incidentals" deposit/hold. You dont learn of that until its time to check in. Its 50 dollars. I believe that should be mentioned when booking the room. Other than that it was excellent "

"The staff were so friendly. The Taven waitress at night didn’t do a good job though. Got our order wrong and charged us for the other order plus the original order. Forgot to get my husbands drink until he was just about done eating. "

"I believe the property has a lot of potential. I was told the new owners had only required the property two weeks earlier. My man issue is I had no tv. I really like to veg in the room with the tv when on vacation and had I known there was no tv, I would have likely booked elsewhere. Was told by staff that cable was supposed to be installed on my second day, but no luck. Had a total of four channels on the regular antenna. Staff is great. Everyone was friendly, pool area was clean, gym was clean (wish they had a water fountain in there), restaurant/bar was clean and the food was very good. Overall, I can see the new owners improve this property turning it into a great little gem outside Lexington. I’ll definitely look to stay here again my next visit. "
