"We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. We had evening dinner which was very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was clean but just needs a good update, which is a shame as the hotel was a great stop off for us. The bathroom door was very small to get through and the bed was a small double. All in all a good stay."

"A staff member just walked into our room while we were in bed (early evening). She said she was going to give us an extra heater. We never asked for an extra heater. REGARDLESS! She should have knocked first. "

"Overall, we had a good stay at The Garrison and most aspects of the hotel were positive. The location is excellent for exploring Fort William, and the main facilities were clean and well presented. Apart from parking, everything else met expectations and the staff were generally helpful. However, there were a few downsides. The single sofa bed was very uncomfortable and not suitable for a good night’s sleep. Also, there was ongoing construction work which started quite early around 8am — this was a bit disruptive, especially if you had the window open as some dust could come into the room. Another small inconvenience was the access to reception. Having to go through multiple doors made it feel less straightforward than it should be, especially when arriving with luggage. Overall, a decent stay with a few areas that could be improved to make the experience much better."

"We had a really enjoyable stay at Base Camp Nevis and would definitely recommend it. The location is fantastic, especially if you’re exploring Fort William and the surrounding Highlands. It’s perfectly placed for visiting Ben Nevis and nearby attractions, while still feeling peaceful and relaxed. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It had everything we needed for a short stay, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and easygoing. One of the highlights was how convenient it was for starting our daily trips — whether heading to Glenfinnan, Skye, or just enjoying the local scenery. It made our travel plans very smooth. Overall, a great base for exploring the Highlands. Good value, great location, and a pleasant stay 👍"

"A brief but very pleasant stay with our family at the Onich. We stayed in a little standalone corrage next to the hotel and it was very comfortable. The only downside was that the only bathroom was upstairs via the bedroom and the property was facing a main road so we had to be very cautious leaving it with our children. The staff were wonderful; very warm and friendly and the food was excellent. "
